8/31/15 Bodega Head, Cypress gal, her skirts & shadows?  Presides over the trails & ocean view....often here, I made each brushstroke count, backing up +10' frequently....I captured the feeling I was aiming f0r, unlike any other set up that I remember..

I love that there is a such a sense of fluid motion in your paintings. I can just feel the breeze sifting through my hair while looking at them. I feel this in particular when I look at the "Lone Cypress" at Bodega Head. There is a beautiful sense of desolation in that painting for sure.
There is a Proustian "Nose Gay of the Senses" in that I can smell the autumn leaves in the November painting just as I can feel the warmth of the late afternoon sun in "Hay There" (Clever title!). Marcy's paintings put one in the flush of the moment so one is not just looking at them, one is experiencing them.

Thanks so much, Jill, for taking the time, looking at the images, such a thoughtful missive…."beautiful sense of desolation," I do love that.

I couldn't have expressed it any better than Jill does here. What an incredible piece! Marcy's works clearly are a total experience in addition to being an ethereal vision.
